Kanae Kocho was a demon slayer and the last Flower Hashira in the anime series, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Kanae is the biological sister to Shinobu Kocho, the current insect Hashira, and the adoptive sister to Kanao Tsuyuri. Kanae’s encounter with the upper Rank 2 demon, Doma, lead to her death and what lead Shinobu’s determination to become a Demon Slayer to avenge her sister’s death.
